86PaulWe need to get the updated docs onto the REBOL websites document page.17-Mar-08 0:32
85Carl(That's how I do it. In fact, most of the time, when people ask me about "Carl, where to find such-and-such a REBOL doc"... I just google it here myself. It makes me look smart. ;)15-Mar-08 21:37
84CarlThe update blog contains all changes for 2.7. Google REBOL changes for other docs.15-Mar-08 21:36
83GiuseppeGraham, these are only the changes for version 2.7.6.15-Mar-08 20:05
82Grahamcheck the sdk ...15-Mar-08 20:02
81GiuseppeCarl, where could I find the text of all changes since 2.5.6 ? I wish to put a REBOL2 wiki page on this topic.15-Mar-08 19:55
80GabrieleI'm in front of my Mac, my PC is on my back. :P15-Mar-08 19:39

77CarlYEs.15-Mar-08 19:37
76Gabrieleah, but well, that's playing with words. ;) agreed that that's a better wording.15-Mar-08 19:37
75PekrI would prefer Altme doc structuring - list of changes, then links .... that way, you have to scroll, but can't get quick picture by reading just the outline....15-Mar-08 19:36
74CarlThe correct wording is that library is now freely usable in all distros.15-Mar-08 19:36
73CarlCorrect. It's just not been free.15-Mar-08 19:36
72Gabriele(not that I could notice - I have my license.key around ;)15-Mar-08 19:36
71Gabrielereally?15-Mar-08 19:35
70CarlAnd library has been in free distros for a long time.15-Mar-08 19:35
69Gabrielepromote it to the top :)15-Mar-08 19:35
68Carlmany will miss the note15-Mar-08 19:34
67Gabriele:)15-Mar-08 19:34
66GiuseppeGabriele, Giuseppe need an upgrade to the existing glasses.15-Mar-08 19:34
65BrianHOne line - it's almost downplayed, given the eventual celebrations from the SQLite fans. :)15-Mar-08 19:34
64Gabriele:-)15-Mar-08 19:33
63CarlActually, that doc line is not precise.15-Mar-08 19:33
62GiuseppeSorry,Sorry, Sorry! Missed it !15-Mar-08 19:33
61GabrieleGiuseppe needs some glasses ;)15-Mar-08 19:33
60BrianHFrom that page.15-Mar-08 19:33
59CarlI see a line for it.15-Mar-08 19:32
58BrianH"The /library component is now included in the free distribution of REBOL."15-Mar-08 19:32
57Gabrielehmm, i think i've seen it mentioned there... lost in an update?15-Mar-08 19:32
56Giuseppehttp://www.rebol.net/upnews/0026.html15-Mar-08 19:32
55CarlThe main 2.7 blog?15-Mar-08 19:31
54CarlWhich one? (blog)15-Mar-08 19:31
53GiuseppeCarl, in the blog you have not mentioned that it now contains /Library features.15-Mar-08 19:30
52Carlblog updated15-Mar-08 18:47
51Carl(in usage line) uploaded15-Mar-08 18:47
50CarlHmmm.... doc is not corrected. Take /deep still there. Modifying it.15-Mar-08 18:46
49CarlBlog is fairly easy to fix. The others are in the queue, but low on list.15-Mar-08 18:44
48BrianHI'm sorry for not doing this sooner - I didn't know the change logs weren't finished until I saw the error posted on the update news blog, and verified it by checking the release.15-Mar-08 15:02
47BrianHPlease update the change logs on the release to match - the old one doesn't include the tracker #47 change which was included.15-Mar-08 14:48
46BrianHUpdated the 2.7.6 change log so that it is more accurate (sorry, I thought someone else was updating it to reflect mezzanine changes made after the initial change log posting). While I was at it I improved the explanation of the ARRAY and REPLACE function value changes, and made other minor wording fixes.15-Mar-08 14:47
45HenrikThe new mezzanines should be written into the word browser.15-Mar-08 9:36
44PaulUpdated Change-log to fix the link to update news.11-Mar-08 13:01
43PekrUpdated change-log - found two typos in Extract description - "functio" was replaced by "function", "though preallocation" was replaced by "through preallocation". Hopefully I my corrections are OK :-)11-Mar-08 8:12
42CarlAlso, you can use the <a href...> html form. Normally, that's what I do.11-Mar-08 5:39
41Paulcool - great Brent!11-Mar-08 2:46
40BrentAt any rate, change log is updated with new section headings for enhancements/additions, bug fixes, Windows bug fixes, and Posix bug fixes.11-Mar-08 2:46
39PaulSays there is a makedoce 2.5.6 but don't see where the script is and the docs don't indicate weblinks being supported.11-Mar-08 2:44
38Brentyep, well, hmm... I guess I'll leave it how I think it should be.11-Mar-08 2:43
37PaulOh yeah I know it does show up messed up on mine also if that is what you mean.11-Mar-08 2:42
36BrentI'm looking here http://www.rebol.net/docs/makedoc/md1.html and it has =url www.site.com just like you suggested.11-Mar-08 2:42
35BrentThe makedoc script is built in to AltME I think. If you click on the changelog.rmd file in the releases folder here, it should fire away.11-Mar-08 2:42
34PaulI don't have make-doc script downloaded but looking for more recent documentation.11-Mar-08 2:41
33BrentJust tried that with no success. Does it work for you?11-Mar-08 2:40
32Paulyeah I think the link has to start the line11-Mar-08 2:37
31Brentdidn't seem to do it. See the change doc in the releases folder, up in the boiler plate. Trying to link to previous version changes.11-Mar-08 2:34
30PaulFor the future we need an executable make-doc pro that is written in REBOL.11-Mar-08 2:34
29Paulis it?

=url http://www.my-domain.com/mypage.html

11-Mar-08 2:33
28BrentAnyone know how to do a hyperlink in makedoc?11-Mar-08 2:30
27BrentIs there a style guideline for capitalization of function names, mezzanines, etc? I think I've just copied into the document as things were in the bug reports, which it seems to be a bit mixed up to me.11-Mar-08 2:10
26Carllol.10-Mar-08 20:38
25BrentThere is a noticable lack of vitamin D exposure in most of those OS authors...10-Mar-08 20:15
24BrentI was gonna say, that seems to be the norm. A nice scruffy beard, but you don't have the hairline to go with it.10-Mar-08 20:10
23CarlI need to grow a beard next.10-Mar-08 20:07
22Carlhttp://www.vernix.org/marcel/programming_language_authors/10-Mar-08 20:07
21CarlAll the rebolers complain I always look too happy.10-Mar-08 20:05
20Brent;-)10-Mar-08 20:05
19BrentOkay, I'll update the doc.10-Mar-08 20:05
18CarlHey, serious mug for serious work. ;)10-Mar-08 20:05
17CarlAnd, we will put the 2.7.6 notes up on the same update news page too. So, all bases covered.10-Mar-08 20:05
16CarlYes, just a link is fine.10-Mar-08 20:04
15BrentTo pull in the rest of 2.7?10-Mar-08 20:03
14BrentOk, maybe a link to the previous versions or to the upnews.r page?10-Mar-08 20:03
13BrentDude, that's a serious look you have in that mug shot on http://www.rebol.net/cgi-bin/upnews.r10-Mar-08 20:02
12CarlMaybe the entire doc should be for 2.7.6. So, top level headings are the categories, not versions.10-Mar-08 20:02
11CarlBrent... in thinking more on it...10-Mar-08 20:01
10Carlhttp://www.rebol.net/cgi-bin/upnews.r10-Mar-08 19:58
9CarlGoogling...10-Mar-08 19:57
8BrentIs there something existing for 2.7-2.7.5?10-Mar-08 19:57
7CarlAlso, do we want to collect all 2.7 in single doc, or make sep docs?10-Mar-08 19:56
6BrentGood point.10-Mar-08 19:55
5BrentOk, I'll make a few main headings then.10-Mar-08 19:55
4CarlFor example new stuff (enhancements) from general bug fixes, and from platform specific bug fixes (e.g. Linux)10-Mar-08 19:51
3CarlWould be good if we can group the entries.10-Mar-08 19:51
2CarlGenerally, looks good.10-Mar-08 19:50
1CarlFor posting notes about the docs.10-Mar-08 19:50
