With the RebDev (DevBase messenger) prototype now running with the main features (which I will document for you soon), it is time to "provision" it with initial headings.
I should note that headings of any level can be added at any time, but if we figure them out in advance, it helps prevent things from becoming chaotic.
For example, at the top level, we'll want something like this:
Users - private user messages
General - general chat (main lobby)
RT - general REBOL Tech related area
R2 - 2.* discussions
R3 - 3.* discussions
Then, under R3, we'd add natives, mezzanine, protocols, etc.
I should note that RebDev allows tagging, so there's no longer any need for headings like "Ask Carl" because those can just be tagged messages. More on that later.
This all sounds good so far - you are on the right track, IMO.
I think it would help if you discussed how this relates to DevBase (perhaps in a later status message). Much of what you are talking about as being RebDev features were already planned for DevBase itself. How will these tools integrate? I can see the value to a separate client for messaging, as that would let you simplify the UI...

As a suggestion for headings, a top-level heading for the other REBOL development tools would helpful, like for RebDev itself. How deeply can you nest subheadings?

Excellent feature set. Very exciting.

I'm testing the alpha version now (some bugs to fix). The CLI interface is nice and quick to use. The client appears to be a little over 20 k of code. Not much else to say other than it's moving quickly forward.

"full REBOL message syndication and aggregation method" - sounds great! I can't wait to help contribute...

PS - Now if we also aggregate everything from AltME, the mailing list, your blogs, and reboltalk.com, maybe everyone would be happy :)
